For those who haven’t been on tour with him yet, meet Adam! He’s lots of fun, super knowledgable on just about everything you will find off the beaten track and has a good eye for taking snaps! Like most of our guides he has been to some pretty spectacular parts of the world and seen some amazing sights. The below bio from Adam on what he believes are the 3 most beautiful places in the world is a must read and will leave you feeling nothing but inspired!

- Sunrise over Mt Kinabalu, Borneo
I was travelling in SE Asia for 6 months in 2010 and headed to Borneo at the end of my trip for 6 weeks. During this time I embarked on climbing Mt Kinabalu in 2 days. The first day of the climb is to around 3200m(not many flat sections, i can tell you!) where you stay overnight. Early the next morning we were summit bound and by early i mean EARLY, 2:30am to be exact. I Reached the summit at 4:20am about 20 minutes before everyone else. It was a perfectly clear night/morning so I sat atop the 4096m peak by myself, watching the stars in the freezing cold. The many other climbers started arriving as sunrise approached. As the surrounding area lit up, the enormity of the peak became evident. Eventually we started the 2000m descent to the start of the trail.
Ended up with black toenails from boots a bit too small, could barely walk the next day becasue my legs we so sore, but had the biggest smile on my my face!
2. Northern Lights in Norway
Of course the Northern Lights had to make it in my top 3! I don’t think anyone who has seen them can forget their beauty and to see them you of course have to go North!
I visited a friend of mine in Northern Norway in March 2012 for 3 weeks. Eager to get a glimpse of this astronomical phenomena, we choose a clear night and hiked up a nearby mountain. We definitely weren’t disappointed, the sky transformed into a dancing light show before our eyes. Braving the cold for 2 hours, we sat in the snow watching in awe and shivering with excitement, until we finally had to retreat to the tent and the warmth of a sleeping bag! The next morning we snowboarded down the mountain after a very cold night!
3. Gokyo Ri in Nepal
I have been to Nepal twice and both times I can say without a doubt, this would be the most beautiful place in the world. The first time I went was in 2012 where I completed a 24 day trek of the Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Base Camp. The second time was in 2014 where I completed a 26 day trek of the Khumbu/Everest Region.
We trekked independently, carrying our own packs. Starting from Jiri rather than flying up to Lukla like most Everest Base Camp trekkers do, we found the extra 8 days at the beginning of the trek were much quieter and great for acclimatisation.
The highlight for me was when we reached the summit of Gokyo Ri at 5357m on day 17. AMAZING! From there you can see 4 of the 6 highest mountains in the world. The weather was perfect and we probably sat there for around 2 hours, taking it all in. I had dreamt of this moment for many years prior. It must be one of the most spectacular views in the world!
We then headed around to the Khumbu Valley where I headed up to Kalar Pattar (5600m) for the classic view of Everest. Eventually we flew out from Lukla after 26 incredible days amongst the highest mountains on Earth.
