For anyone who has ever been on an Inspiration Outdoors tour, you know we love our morning tea. Like, we really really love our morning tea! Luckily, we tend to find ourselves in some of the most beautiful places in Australia when our nourishment from breakfast starts to subside and the need for re-energising with a piece of home baked cake and steaming hot cuppa takes hold.
Here’s a list of our favourite morning tea spots on our walks.
Circular Pool, Karijini & Ningaloo Tour
There’s nothing better than a hot cup of tea to warm the body up after a refreshing swim in the stunning, but chilly Circular Pool in Karijini National Park. And if the water temperature doesn’t take your breath away, the contrast in colour of the red rocks to the emerald pool surely will!
Cape Hauy, Best of Tasmania Tour
Cape Hauy is one highlight of many on our Best of Tasmania Trip. And what better way to to take in the splendour of this incredibly spectacular coastline than with a well earned cuppa and a piece of our world famous date cake.
Manning Gorge, Kimberley Tour
Picture an early morning swim across the tranquil Manning River, followed by a stunning walk over a classic Kimberley escarpment littered with boab trees before descending into a gorge framed by a picture perfect waterfall where a swim and cup of tea awaits. Not much more to say really, this spot is hard to beat!
Wilyabrup Cliffs, Cape to Cape Track
The Cape to Cape Track takes in day after day of stunning coastline, so it was hard to pick one favourite morning tea spot from this walk. This one at the towering granite cliffs at Wilyabrup takes the cake though (so to speak), as we are quite often fortunate enough to share it with whales and dolphins frolicking off the coast.
Mt Trio, Stirling Ranges Trip
The Stirling Ranges National Park is truly one of the most underrated places in Australia. Southern WA’s only real mountain range is a botanical wonderland with some incredible viewpoints, one of which is a top Mt Trio. A cup of tea never tasted so good with the stunning view out towards the imposing peak of Toolbranup, the second highest in the park.
Dutchman’s Stern, Flinders Ranges Trip
After the steep climb to the top of Dutchman’s Stern a fabulous view awaits, accompanied by a well earned piece of mango fruit cake.
Hakea Trail, Cape le Grand & Fitzgerald River NP Trip
The Hakea Trail in Fitzgerald River National Park is an unknown gem of a walk on the South Coast of WA. With some dramatic coastal scenery and some of the most biodiverse plant life in the world, it is one hell of a spot to enjoy an energising coffee.
